Four questions a gate is asked every day. The record answers all of them, described plainly.
Home without the horn.
Registered plates raise the barrier on sight. No call to the gatehouse, no window rolled down in the rain.
Expected, admitted, accounted for.
Each visitor is written against the household that invited them, from the moment the barrier lifts to the moment they leave.
The log referees, not memory.
When a delivery, a damage claim, or a late-night entry is contested, the committee reads what happened instead of voting on it.
License plates, not people.
The gate reads what a vehicle shows the street. Life inside the community is nobody’s data, including ours.

Committees inherit disputes: the delivery that never arrived, the guest who stayed, the damage nobody saw. Without a record, every dispute becomes a vote, and every vote costs the committee something.
The gate writes the record the committee reads: who was expected, who arrived, who left, and when. Residents can trust it precisely because of what it refuses. It reads license plates, not people, and nothing about life inside the community leaves it.
Nothing here is theater. What this page describes is the system as built, and anything still rolling out is labeled that way wherever we write.
